Congress MLA Narrow Escape While Crossing Flooded Rivulet | Uttarakhand | V6 News
Uttarakhand Congress MLA Harish Dhami had a narrow escape after he slipped and fell into a flooded rivulet in Dharchula area of Pithoragarh. MLA Harish Dhami, however, escaped with minor injuries after party workers and supporters accompanying him swiftly got him out of the rivulet. The incident happened when the MLA was returning after visiting a flood hit village. The water level suddenly and the MLA lost control and fell. Dhami was given first aid by some Army personnel who were deputed nearby. The water is filled with thick muck and debris due to the landslides in the area, which makes it very dangerous for locals as well. The hill state has witnessed heavy rainfall in the last couple of weeks leading to landslides and flooded rivulets. Several temporary bridges have also been destroyed leading due to the swelling rivulets. Disaster relief teams have been working on overdrive to help people affected by floods and landslides across the state. Connectivity to many villages have been affected due to landslides throwing life out of gear in the hill state
